It was good to see a balanced entry this year with 5 teams in each age-group. In the Under-15 section, Medway built on their second place last year to field a very strong team which almost achieved a 100% record with a final match score of 27 – 1. Last year’s winners, Tunbridge Wells, came a clear second. The winning Medway team were: Stephanie Tillman James West Amy Spring Ashley Gabbitas Rhianna White Ashley Barnes Eleanor Burns Luke Gallyot
In the Under-19’s, play was much closer overall and a count back to games was needed to sort out some final placings. No region won all their ties and it turned out that North Foreland (who were already out of the race) played a major part in deciding the group winner in the final tie of the event against Tunbridge Wells. If TW won then they took the trophy; if NF won then the trophy went to South Foreland. At 3-3 and 1 game all in the final match it went to the wire with NF winning the last game 16-14. The winning South Foreland team were: Sophie Newman Ben Englefield Rebecca Dale Russell Field Claire Hollyer Alex Fountain Neal Makwana
